October 24 - Chamber Event: 10th Annual Gowns and Guayaberas Gala

Come celebrate this wonderful event where scholars will receive recognition for their outstanding achievements and contributions to the Hispanic Community.

The Hispanic Heritage Scholarship Fund of Metro Orlando request the pleasure of your company at the Tenth Annual Hispanic Heritage Scholarship Gala!

Where: Ballroom of the Americas-Disney´s Contemporary Resort. 4600 North World Dr. Lake Buena Vista, FL 32830.

Time: Reception 6:00PM, Dinner, entertainment and dancing 7:00PM-midnight.

Attire: Long Sleeve Guayabera or Formal Attire requested

Corporate Tables: $800, Individual tickets: $50

This year, the organization will provide $100,000 in scholarships. The funds will be distributed to 19 students each receiving $5,000 with an additional $10,000 provided to the University of Central Florida’s School of Medicine scholarship program--part of a four-year commitment totaling $40,000 in support—this includes an award to Barry University’s Andreas School of Law scholarship program in partnership with the Hispanic Bar Association, an award to a nursing student as part of a partnership with Orlando Health and an additional partnership with T&G Constructors for a scholarship to a student at Valencia Community College. Students are selected by a volunteer committee based on grade point average and financial need.

And what an honor it was to had been chosen to receive not only this wonderful scholarship but an award from Orlando Health in partnership with T&G Constructors that will will cover my studies at Valencia Community College while in pursuit of my degree!!!!! I was stunned, speechless, humbled and very, very thankful!!!!!! God is good...to HIM be ALL the glory!*****
